This tutorial will show you how to add an email to Microsoft Outlook manually if the automated method fails.
- Open Outlook and enter your email as per the picture below.
Enter your email address, click on Advanced options and then make sure the option “Let me set up my account manually” is checked then click connect. - On the next page it will ask you to choose what type of set up you want to use and then you must choose “IMAP”
- On the next page, enter your password then click “Connect”
- On the next page you will be presented with an option to input your Incoming and Outgoing servers
On the incoming mail server use your full email address as the username and input your password making sure the remember password option is checked.
Your mail server will be mail.yourdomain.com making sure you replace yourdomain.com with your own domain name that your purchased in this case I will be using mine flour.co.zw so my incoming mail server will be mail.flour.co.zw
The Port is 993 and make sure the encryption method is SSL/TLS as per the image below - Once you have entered your information click on OutGoing mail and from there, you enter your details in the following format
On the server enter smtp.yourdomain.com making sure to replace your yourdomain.com with your own domain that you purchased, in this case I am using mine flour.co.zw which makes my smtp server smtp.flour.co.zw
The Port will be 465 and the encryption is SSL/TLS
Always make sure to select “My outgoing SMTP server requires Authentication” and it is set to use same settings as my incoming mail server.
